Angry Birds Cake
Of course my 7 yr old had to have an angry birds cake. I didn't like any of the ones I saw on the web, so I decided to make a simple one, 2 tiers, because I needed a place for the pigs and a place for the birds. The logs are Keebler fudge sticks, the nest is chocolate covered pretzel
s, and the birds and pigs are all made by hand from homemade marshmallow fondant. Some kids said it was their favorite cake ever!
Sushi cake
My son only likes ice cream cakes for his birthday but really wanted one done by me, so I bought a plain one, iced in white, and took it home to decorate like a sushi roll. The edges are wrapped with fruit roll ups. I made the color darker by using green gel color diluted with vodka and a small paintbrush (the alcohol evaporates). The "crab" is a sliced marshmallow wrapped with a red fruit roll up. The rest of the decorations are candy, and the "rice" are just white sprinkles.
40th Birthday Cake - Realtor
This was just a sheet cake, but made for a 40th Birthday for a Realty Executives realtor, using their signage, it says "Really old Executives". The grass was sheet sugar and the edges were cut to look like blades of grass. All the lettering was done by hand.
It was a big hit.

80th Bday cake
This cake was made out of town, with minimal supplies, in minimal space. This was for my husbands grandmothers 80th birthday party. The only request was that it be chocolate, with cream cheese frosting, and the colors be pastel. The flowers were done to represent Her, her 2 daughters, their 3 kids, and the 6 grandkids. It is 3 layers with chocolate frosting between layers.

Luau Birthday Cake
This is a cake for little Gianna who turns one this weekend. My pictures sure make my cake look bumpy, but in person it doesn't. I think I need a new camera - a good one! I did do the buttercream meringue on this cake thanks to Whisk Kid! The bottom layers (3) are chocolate, and the top 3 are yellow. I also did a smash cupcake for Giana.

How to make Homemade MM Fondant
How to make Homemade MM Fondant
This is the video that I used to make my marshmallow fondant. Get the gel colors by Wilton at Walmart (better price than at Michaels), use a toothpick to add it to the fondant - a little goes a long way.
